Not gonna lie, the storyline was decent, but I wouldn’t say it blew me away. It started off fun and there were a few twists I liked, but some parts felt a little thin and kind of easy to predict. We still had a good night overall, I just expected the story to have a bit more depth

I used mymysteryparty.com to put together a small mystery night with friends, and it definitely helped take some of the pressure off. The setup tips and printable materials were the most useful for me, especially when I was trying to make the night feel organized without overthinking every little detail.
I will say there’s quite a bit to go through, so I spent some time clicking around before I really settled into it. After that, things came together smoothly. Not perfect, but it did save me time and made the party easier to pull off than it probably would’ve been on my own.

I was disappointed with the printables. Once I printed them, the paper quality just looked cheap and not at all like I expected. When I reached out about it, it kind of felt like they made it my problem instead of actually trying to help.

The mystery party itself was a fun idea, and we did have some laughs, but the instructions were confusing. We kept having to reread the same sections, and even after rereading them, we still weren’t totally sure what was supposed to happen next. It just felt like the directions weren’t clear enough, and that kept coming up over and over during the game.

A few people got mixed up with their roles, and the timing was confusing too, so everything slowed down more than it should have. We kept stopping to figure things out, then stopping again because someone was still confused. I think it would be way better if the steps were simpler, clearer, and actually laid out in order

We tried this for family game night, but some parts felt a little too adult for our younger kids. They got bored after a while and were kind of confused about what was going on. It just wasn’t really a great fit for us.

I reached out to support about my order and then just waited for days without getting any real answer. It was really frustrating because I had no idea what was going on or if anyone had even seen my message. I felt left in the dark the whole time, and I wouldn’t use them again.

The game itself was okay, but I bought it thinking it would be fine for my 11-year-old and then once we started playing there were a few parts that just felt a little too mature and made me wish the age rating or content warnings had been much clearer before I spent the money.

I was a little embarrassed because I left everything until the last minute and thought this would be quick. The files did come through, but getting everything set up was more confusing than I expected and took longer than I had time for. If you’re in a rush, I probably wouldn’t choose this.

But once a few people dropped out and then two others wanted to join later, things got awkward to adjust. The options felt a little too locked in for our group size, so the planning ended up being more frustrating than I expected. It might work well if your headcount is totally set from the start, but I probably wouldn’t use it again for a group that could change...

In our game, the detective had way more to do than the bystanders, which was... interesting. A few of us basically just sat there while others seemed to get all the clues and actual decisions. I’m sure that’s fun if you’re one of the lucky ones, but for the rest of us, the night felt uneven and not exactly a blast.

The costume and prop ideas were okay, but kind of vague. Not much to go on. I ended up having to look up extra ideas elsewhere just to pull everything together
